Enko Capital backs EV.Tech

Abidjan, 28 August 2026 - Enko Capital is pleased to announce an investment made by its Francophone West Africa SME strategy (the “FCPR(1) strategy”) in EV.Tech (“EV Tech” or “the Company”), the leading provider of electric vehicle charging solutions and infrastructure in Côte d’Ivoire.

The FCPR strategy has structured a hybrid financing designed to support EV Tech’s growth and provide it with the resources required to pursue its expansion. Through this transaction, Enko Capital intends to support the Company through the next stages of its development, notably with a view to its future fundraising rounds, enabling it to fully seize the opportunities created by the growth of electric mobility in Côte d’Ivoire and across the sub-region.

Founded in 2021, EV Tech is the first Ivorian company specialising in the provision of electric vehicle charging solutions. The Company offers end-to-end charging solutions, from installation to maintenance of charging stations, together with its proprietary mobile application, Neo Charging, which enables users to locate charging stations, check real-time availability and pricing, and track charging status. With a network of 70 charging stations deployed across the country and strategic partnerships with major players in the transport and fuel distribution sectors, EV Tech benefits from a unique positioning to support the transition towards more sustainable mobility. The Company plays an active role in advancing national ambitions around the energy transition and the modernisation of the vehicle fleet.

“This investment by Enko Capital marks a new milestone in EV.Tech’s development. Beyond the confidence placed in this Ivorian start-up by a leading player in the financial sector, it will allow us to accelerate the roll-out of our infrastructure and to further our ambition of making electromobility a practical solution, accessible to the people and businesses of Côte d’Ivoire”, said Florent Thomas and Esther Dagri, co-founders of EV.Tech, in a joint statement.

Founded and led by Florent Thomas, Chief Executive Officer, and Esther Dagri, Chief Operating Officer, EV.Tech draws on the complementary strengths of two entrepreneurial profiles with close to twenty years of combined experience between France and Côte d’Ivoire. Their understanding of the business environment, combined with their command of strategic and operational matters, enables them to pursue a shared vision: deploying electromobility across the whole of Ivorian territory and offering users a charging experience that is reliable, simple and tailored to their needs.

Cyrille Nkontchou, Managing Partner of Enko Capital, said: “We are delighted to support EV.Tech through this new phase of its development. The Company has demonstrated its ability to deploy infrastructure that is essential to the development of Côte d’Ivoire’s electric mobility ecosystem. This investment represents the second transaction completed under the FCPR strategy, following our investment in Burger King Côte d’Ivoire, and reflects our commitment to supporting high-potential companies that play a driving role in the development of their sector and in value creation within the local economy.”

Cheikh Souleymane Diallo, Senior Investment Director at Enko Capital, said: “Our investment in EV Tech illustrates the flexibility of the FCPR strategy and its ability to offer financing solutions tailored to the specific needs of companies at different stages of their development. We are particularly confident in the outlook for the electric mobility sector in West Africa, driven by rapid urbanisation, rising fossil fuel costs, technological advances and the growing commitment of public authorities to the energy transition.”

The FCPR strategy’s mission is to invest in high-potential small and medium-sized enterprises led by quality entrepreneurial teams and operating across a wide range of sectors in Francophone West Africa.

The Enko Capital group is an asset management firm specialising in African markets, with approximately US$1.6 billion in assets under management and a presence in London, Johannesburg, Abidjan, Kigali, Port Louis and Yaoundé.
