Convergence Partners leads Series C round

Cape Town, 14 August 2026 – Convergence Partners a leading tech investor in sub Saharan Africa, has led the Series C funding round in existing portfolio company Yellow, a fintech providing asset-backed credit for smartphones and o-grid solar solutions. Yellow currently employs 200+ sta across its key operational markets in Malawi, Zambia, Uganda, Rwanda, Madagascar, DRC and Nigeria.

The investment builds on Convergence Partners’ existing partnership with Yellow and reflects its continued conviction in the company’s growth strategy and its role in expanding access to essential products and services across African markets.

Since Convergence Partners’ initial investment, Yellow has continued to scale its platform and geographic footprint, providing more than one million customers with access to finance for smartphones and o-grid solar solutions through bespoke AI-enabled credit scoring methodologies.
