Position: E&S and Impact Associate

Location: Antananarivo, Madagascar

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental & Social (E&S) and Impact Associate to join our Antananarivo office, to lead and oversee the Fund’s E&S and Impact integration across the Fund’s investment cycle.

Key Responsibilities

As E&S and Impact Associate, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the companies we invest in by:

• Leading the implementation of the ESMS, conducting due diligence in conjunction with E&S consultant, monitoring ESAPs, and supporting investment decision-making.
• Designing and managing impact measurement frameworks (aligned with IRIS+, SDGs, BII scoring), tracking KPIs, and working with portfolio companies on impact goals.
• Driving sustainability reporting, ensuring compliance with international E&S standards, and engaging with LPs and other stakeholders.
• Training staff and portfolio companies on E&S and Impact best practices and fostering a culture of responsible investment.

Required Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, Sustainable Development, or related field.
• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in E&S/Impact roles within investment funds, DFIs, or development agencies.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct E&S due diligence and manage impact frameworks.
• Deep familiarity with international standards (IFC PS, IRIS+, SDGs, PRI, EDFI).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in English; French is an asset.
